Two Key Appointments For Climate Change Capital
(LONDON, 17 May 2007) Climate Change Capital ("CCC"), the investment banking group dedicated to a low carbon economy, has strengthened its management team with two key appointments this week.
Mark Macleod, previously the Chief Financial Officer ("CFO") at Cantor Fitzgerald's European and Asian businesses, and before that Global CFO of Dresdner Kleinwort, joins CCC as CFO. He has 17 years experience of working in the financial services sector and qualified in the Financial Services audit practice of Ernst & Young. He is also a trustee of the charity Trust for the Study of Adolescence.
Nigel Scott has been appointed Director of Portfolio Management in Carbon Markets. He has worked in the commodity markets for 16 years, most recently at JP Morgan where he was Head of Structured Commodity & Environmental Products. Prior to JP Morgan he was Global Head of both Structured Commodity Finance and Commodity Trading & Sales at Rabobank International. Nigel started his career as a trader of agricultural commodities at Cargill.
Mark Woodall, the CCC chief executive, said: "The addition of these two very experienced and high calibre executives will help us drive our business forward as we look to maximise the investment opportunities offered by the challenge of climate change. Mark Macleod is Chief Financial Officer. Mark has 17 years experience working as a finance professional in the Financial Services sector. He spent the last year as CFO of Cantor Fitzgerald's European and Asian businesses. Prior to this Mark spent 13 years at Dresdner Kleinwort where he was a managing director, roles there included Global CFO, Global Head of Product Control, and Finance Director of Equities & Equity Derivatives. Mark worked for 3 years in the Financial Services audit practice of Ernst & Young. Mark has a B.Sc. (Hons) in Management and Chemical Sciences from UMIST, and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales. He is also member of the board of trustees of Trust for the Study of Adolescence, a charity.
Nigel Scott is Director, Portfolio Management, in Carbon Markets. Nigel has been in commodity markets for 16 years, working most recently in the Energy team (GCCG) at JP Morgan, where he was Head of Structured Commodity & Environmental Products. Prior to JP Morgan he was Global Head of both Structured Commodity Finance and Commodity Trading & Sales at Rabobank International for 5 years. Nigel started his career as a trader of "Softs" or Agricultural Commodities at Cargill, where he worked as a trader for 9 years in a number of commodity divisions & global locations. Nigel has a BSc in Microbiology from Imperial College, London and is an experienced commodity arbitrator.
